Madrid

Madrid was awesome! :D I found it to be much better than Barcelona - I don't really know exactly why but I liked Madrid better.

I went there with Katka for three days. It was a 4 hour drive so we got there on Friday at around 4pm and check in took about an hour. After checking-in me and Katka went out for lunch and to explore Madrid. Surprisingly, we managed to see most of the things in Madrid by just walking around.. so this included Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, Plaza de Cibales, Plaza de Mayor and of course the Retiro Park. For dinner we just had some Tapas as we both weren't that hungry because we had had a heavy lunch only a couple of hours ago.

The next day we started off with some breakfast on Gran Via and then headed to Museo del Prado. But we got a little lost because someone gave us the wrong directions :/ so we ended up in Retiro Park again but we didn't mind that :D We eventually found our way to Museo del Prado. Next we wanted to go to Templo de Debod which was this amazing Egyptian temple.. was really pretty! The Royal Palace was a 10 minute walk from there so that's where we went next. Then it was dinner time - we went to this nice little Italian restaurant for some pasta.

The final day was the Holi Run; I was soooo excited about this :D It was realllyyy fun! It was just a 5k colour run; so at every 1k they would throw coloured powder over us but every point was represented by a different colour so to see how many kilometres we were able to accomplish. After the run there was this (kind of) music festival which was pretty cool as well. Overall, it was a very good trip; not just because of the place but as always, the people you are with always have an impact on your trip and I have to say Katka is absolutely hilarious :D has soo much fun with her :)

Also, on Wednesday Molly and Bianca had their combined birthday dinner and it was actually a very nice evening. I met one of Molly's and Lucy's friends - Amy; we hit it off straight away, got on so well :) Molly's birthday was actually the next day so we went to the beach during the day and had dinner at hers later in the evening.

Basically, this week was awesome! and im flying off to London in 2 days :D
